The spread at Shigol Babsang, a rustic Korean restaurant in Itaewon. Popular with guided tours for Japanese tourists, the restaurant gives you an entire dining table—babsang—full of small side dishes, known as banchan in Korean (which, by the way, are not appetizers but are supposed to complement your main meal and to be eaten with your rice). The menu, handwritten on a paddle, offers extras that you can add to your humble meal. The gyeran jjim, or steamed egg, is normally tasteless protein, but it’s really tasty here.
