Heard good reviews of Belcourt, so stopped by for brunch this Memorial Day weekend.  A little surprising to find it relatively empty around prime brunching hours, but maybe it was the sweltering heat?  In any case, Belcourt serves up a laudably unique brunch menu that puts a pan-Mediterranean and European twist on old favorites.   While the salted cod hash with poached eggs and harissa were my favorite, I had to include this photo of my bizarre smoked salmon omelet—this is the most, er, well-done omelet I’ve ever seen.  No ridges, ma!  Stuffed perhaps a bit too generously with cream cheese, but pretty good: like eating a bagel sandwich without the bagel.
