Ninja New York has a range of set menus, but Ben and I are classic examples of how our eyes are bigger than our stomachs… and for once, we made the wise choice of splitting a few plates.  Our main course was the aptly-named Katana: the hilt was U.S. prime steak wrapped in zucchini and slathered in teriyaki sauce, the collar was a patty of fried risotto, and the blade was Alaskan king crab on top of baked potatoes, served with white sauce and cheese.
For once, the crab out-did the steak—and this is coming from someone who normally dislikes crab and lobster.  And for what looks like a random “filler” item, the fried risotto was crispy and much more flavorful than I would have ever expected.
