My journalism class was ordered to go to Philadelphia bright and early Friday morning—”to eat a sandwich,” in the words of my professor. (And no, they weren’t Philly cheesesteaks, but generic deli sandwiches at The Foodery.) But after reading about Reading Terminal Market from Kathy and Robyn recently, I was hoping to get a chance to stop by here… and lo and behold, the Greyhound bus terminal was right next to it.
And so here it is: my roast pork with greens sandwich at DiNic’s Roast Pork & Beef—just shy of 10 AM. Not even an eyebrow raised when we asked for the sandwich, and they told us to come back in 5, since the greens weren’t ready yet this early. Gotta get a little protein to jumpstart your morning, right?
